RECAP: The Wine Experience

CONGRATULATIONS!  You have completed the DOMSOM Course for Service Professionals / Wine Enthusiasts!  With the combination of the 5 DOMSOM Modules and quizzes, you should be ready to ACE the final exam and officially earn your certification!  To complete the exam, please make note of the following requirements:

  • You must take the exam online no earlier than 2 weeks into the course (2 Sundays after the Kickoff Event) and 11:59pm CST on the final day of the course.  Please note the deadline is Central Standard Time.  For example, if you are in EST (NY), the deadline for you will be 12:59am and if you are in PST (CA), the deadline will be 9:59pm!  
  • The exam will include XX multiple choice questions and you have exactly 1 hour / 60 minutes from the time you START the exam to completion.   
  • To pass the DOMSOM course, you will need to earn a score of 65% or greater.
  • Once you feel confident you have answered every question to the best of your ability, you will SUBMIT your exam and receive an immediate score.  
  • Should you not pass the exam on your first try, you will be granted one additional attempt provided it is within the deadline as stated above.  The format and time allowed will be the same as the original exam.
  • If you do not pass the second exam with a score of 65% or above, DOMSOM will extend your access to the App for an additional 4 weeks at a reduced course fee of $49 and allow you to take the exam one final time within the 4-week extension.
  • Upon completion of the 4-week course and the course examination, DOMSOM will mail all course graduates passing the exam their official DOMSOM certificate and lapel pin.  WEAR IT PROUDLY!

We know that you will continue to share your passion for wines, especially US wines, with your friends, customers, perhaps even strangers you meet in the wine aisle of your local store!
