Pairing White Wine: Sweet

As you learned at the beginning of this section, when pairing sweet wine, follow one simple rule and you can’t go wrong!  Always make sure the wine is sweeter than your food as food can influence how a wine tastes just as easily as wine can influence how food tastes.  When food is sweeter than wine, the wine will taste dull, less fruity and less sweet.   At the same time, a red wine will taste drier and more tannic.

If you’re as big of a fan of sweet, dessert wines as we are, this simple rule will make them taste even better every time.
